I'm not sure I'll get any response here, but thought I'd start the thread anyway to see if ANY of you guys like the Wipeout series .
I've been into the game since the original came out for PS1 in 1995. Allot of you might like the F-Zero series (which I like too), but I'm a bigger fan of Wipeout by far. I love the music, atmosphere and the gameplay. I don't have a PSP or PS3, so I don't own Wipeout Pure, Pulse (PSP) or Wipeout HD (PS3)...but I own Wipeout, Wipeout XL, Wip3out, and Wipeout Fusion, and love them all (although Fusion for the PS2 is my least favorite).
I'm going to be cosplaying a Wipeout pilot as well, an original design for a Feisar pilot . I've never seen it done before, and I've already started work on it!
Anyways, for anyone interested...here's a preview for Wipeout Fury (and expansion to HD) which is the newest installment in the series,

For anyone interested (LOL @ that)...I sculpted this for a keychain/pendant for my costume and also as fan art to sell. You may remember her from the race countdown screens from Wipeout 3 (Wip3out)...

I remember that little bugger! That's actually pretty cool I used to own Wip3out (got stolen along with a bunch of my other games), and I always loved the premise of the games (what little there was of it). _________________ "Patience my ass; I'm going to go out and kill something."

Thanks !
Yeah I casted some with a green florescent pigment that glows under a black light XD...gonna wear one as a pendant...and already have someone on DA who wants to buy one from me which is cool!
Wipeout is more popular in the UK I think, it has sorta a cult following. It's not insanely popular yet it has a small, strong fan base from what I can tell. People either don't know what it is, or are very enthusiastic about it XD (or like F-Zero best because they played that first/are Nintendo fans). The games are GREAT, very fun to play, just the right challenge, and the music is excellent. I just got an aviation helmet off eBay...I took it apart and I'm painting it in Feisar colors for the pilot cosplay I'm doing . I'm having a blast plotting this costume, because it's mostly all original since Wipeout doesn't usually show the pilots. Yet I'm doing all the right colors and logos so boldly anyone who knows the games will know what it is . It's fun to do something original that I've never seen done before.
Heh, the games really hold up...I've been playing Wipeout 3 lately and loving it...and it's a PS1 game (XL is fantastic too...suuuuch a classic). Ebay has some fair deals if you want to snag another copy, my buddy Pete re-bought me the first three games as an early bday present, because I had traded the original ages ago, and XL and 3 were too scratched to play (I used to play the games on the CD player too to listen to the music, so they got beaten up). _________________ "Zombies do like the other, other white meat" - Dean Winchester |

For anyone who caaaaaaressss . This is my Feisar helmet in progress, the visor and ear flaps have been removed for painting, and I need to get a clear visor for it to replace the tinted one it came with. The paint job still needs some work + a clear coat of clear resin.

Thanks Nasir!
And Chuck...that is strictly a matter of opinion ...both game series are great for different reasons. I played Wipeout waaaaaay before I ever touched an F-Zero game, so I'm biased. But, I also like the music and more realistic look of Wipeout better. I prefer the atmosphere of the Wipeout series, I'm pretty much like that about most games...if the atmosphere doesn't hold me I lose interest. I have F-Zero GX for the Game Cube, and played one on the N-64 with Sean allot. They're fun games. _________________ "Zombies do like the other, other white meat" - Dean Winchester |

Surely you didn't expect Angela to get a Kayne West joke, Chuck.
Besides, that joke was old months ago. Way to be behind on the times, buddy.
