Milla Jovovich?

that would make this the worst movie I could imagine.

THIS JUST IN!

The guy from Prison Break is going to play Chris Redfield. I guess he actually looks kind of like Chris did in REmake, and I assume he's a decent actor since he scored the lead role in a pretty successful TV series, but I could be mistaken.

Albert Wesker to be played by someone new. And he's less than a year older than me.

That's right folks. You may have thought Jason O'Mara wasn't a great Wesker, but at least he was in the right age range.

However, you may recognize this guy. He played minor roles in X-Men and Land of the Dead, which weren't very good references for his ability to act. He was also Tony in Diary of the Dead. Tony was the somewhat bad ass character that went around with the group, calling the cameraboy a dumb ass and melting a zombies face with a glass full of acid. Truth be told, that movie had me convinced he was older, so perhaps this isn't a totally bad casting call.

Wesker's supposed to be a sexy badass, and he doesn't age normally...so that actor LOOKS perfect...has a very Wesker jawline IMO. Wesker is also supposed to be extremely agile, and you need someone young to move that way and have it look smooth/effortless enough. But any good casting isn't going to save this film since hubby is in charge YET again >,>.

And of course I'm all for Jensen Ackles playing Leon, I love that guy, lol. He's probably the only actor I'll watch anything he's in (except Smallville, sorry Jensen, LOL). I heard his character got hit by a meteor or something in that show though, lol.

Why do we continue to talk about this movie? It's the fourth film, it still has Alice in it, and it's vaguely tied to the game series. And last I remembered, the last three were just a continuing spiral of horseshit. Not quite Uwe Boll type horseshit, but just as bad.

Degeneration did more to keep to the series then the live action films, it was still kind of terrible, but stuck to the game history, and art style.

But isn't that what we expect from these movies, some sort of long cutscene?

its what i expected. its about what i got too. coulda been a lot better sure, but ill take something that resembles the games to something that resembles one ugly ass ho riding around mexicos wastelands lighting birds on fire with her head.

I don't know, I still think Ken Lally (Wesker's mocap actor in 5) would be a better Wesker. He's plenty agile enough, as you'll see in many of the cutscenes, and he's 38 or so now, which makes him a good candidate since Wesker was 38 when he "stopped" aging normally.

We also have to keep in mind that this movie is supposedly going to be in 3D, ala "Avatar" style. How they'll justify spending that kind of money on this movie when each and every one of its predecessors has just barely made its worth back in the box office is beyond me, but the point I'm making is that it might not matter who plays Wesker if that's really the approach they take because they can always make him look more the part digitally.

Either way, Jim's right. This movie's gonna suck sour ass.

Yeah ken really is the perfect choice here. Hes very good at the voice, he already provided most of the mo cap, and hes already familiar with the character.

While the movie is 3D, its not going to be all digital imaging like Beowulf, or human actors on green screens like Avatar. From what it sounds like its going to be all live action 3D which will cost less, look weirder, and give dimension to a cinematic turd.
