Lost and Found at a Downtown Hotel.

So, this topic had no posts so I figured I would work some words up for it.

So I think most people know that my main source of income is my full time job at a hotel in Downtown San Diego (yes, right near SDCCI). My income is supplemented by my collectibles sales, commissions, outside work, and various other odd jobs as well but the main source of income is this hotel.

Continuing on, after SDCCI I decided to take on the job of organizing the front and back office and putting into effect a lost and found system that actually works instead of being a box full of random shit with no labels. Stay with me here, the lost and found system is the part I am getting to.

So people leave an amazingly large amount of stuff in hotel rooms, mostly they forget chargers (the majority for phones), sometimes novels, frequently clothing (sometimes designer!), and sometimes a rare thing creeps out like a set of BMW Keys, a Bowie Knife, dog tags, clay, or jewelry. The strangest thing was a home porn CD with a printed label of “NOT MY WIFE”. Oh and of course there are medications legal and non-legal.

This brings me to my point, does anyone need extra phone chargers? I seriously have eight boxes of various phone chargers. I have books galore. I have a ton of clothing as well but I was just going to give that to the local homeless so they stop rummaging through my trash bins.

I wonder how much phone chargers would fetch on e-bay or at the swap meet. Maybe I should start my own lost and found recycling centre. Heh.

Maybe two people who were using the same brand phone? I usually just bring one, but for example like the convention times, I might bring two. LEave one in my purse, and the other in the room, just in case. I find that my phone sucks and it constantly needs to charge, so I spent about an hour at CC plugged to a wall each day.
