I will definitely post pics as soon as I have some, I think we'll probably be using Vanessa or Joellen's camera..if that's the case I'll have to wait to get some from them..but I'm going to see if my mom will at least let me borrow her camera to get some shots of our costumes before we leave while we're still in the hotel.
I wish you were coming too! From what I've been told it's more for girls, or for girls to drag their dates too, lol...but I'm sure you and Barrie would have a good time, and the costumes are supposed to be pretty impressive. I'm not sure how late the thing goes...but doors open at 8pm. I'm flying out of state next week so I'll be pretty busy, but I'll post some feedback on how it all goes before I fly . Hopefully I can post pics right away, we'll see! _________________ "Zombies do like the other, other white meat" - Dean Winchester |

Well, the ball is over...and I had a great time. However, right after the ball, I had to put Spike, my beloved ferret to sleep...yesterday. I had to make the decision to have him put down, say goodbye, take the box containing his body, dig a grave and bury him, all in one day. Needless to say I'm pretty heart broken...and don't feel like posting a separate thread on it. I've been breaking down crying off and on all day today and of course all day yesterday, and I leave for Arkansas the day after tomorrow.
I'll be posting more on the ball after Comic Con, or right before I go to Arkansas, if my friends upload more pics. For now there are only a couple with me in them, but another buddy got more of my full costume so I'll post those later.
This is just a closeup of my mask while I'm wearing the contacts with it. The shiny stuff on the top is fabric I attached, and the shiny stuff around the sides are the ostrich feathers. The surface is mainly a mix of glitter, glitter paint, varnish and clear resin/plastic over it.
This is a big group shot of most of us leaving the hotel for the ball...we met up with some more friends later on once there. Joellen did all of our makeup, her costume was AMAZINNNNG!! I'm extremely happy with my mask and claws, the claws came out much better than I was expecting...you can barely see them in this pic, so I'll post better shots as I get them. I look so serious because I felt awkward smiling with my fangs on, LOL.
Joellen and Vanessa, they both made their own costumes! beautiful work!
Not people we know, but Brittany got a pick of their beautiful costumes...
Part of the decorations ...
Annnnd there was a Golem...lol...YES there is a person in there, I didn't see this in person unfortunately.
This is the dance floor and stage (behind the curtains) from the balcony. They would have performances on stage between playing normal music and turning out the main lights for dancing.
Kat and Vanessa, Kat makes a BEAUTIFUL Bell! Joellen made her dress. Vanessa's dress came out amazing as well...she did such a great job on it.

This is a girl named Marrissa...who I don't really know and only met briefly, her dragon costume was gorgeous, she even had wings.
Matt and Joellen.
More people we don't know who had amazing costumes...
The costumes and decorations were really amazing, I'm definitely going again next year. One of the highlights of the night for me was...I ran into Red Riding Hood XD. She was all "You're the wolf!! !! I wish my friend was here to get some pictures!"..then her friend showed up and we got some pics together. her costume was great, she had a hatchet, and her boots were plushie wolves...eating her legs, lol...it's sorta hard to explain. One of my buddies got pictures of us both, I'll post them when she gives them to me. I'm trying to keep distracted from the grief of losing Spike, so I've been looking at pics from the ball and I'll be asking friends for them today. _________________ "Zombies do like the other, other white meat" - Dean Winchester

Thanks guys...it just happened yesterday so I'm still hurting pretty bad, I've been tearing up all day ff and on. I have Ghostbusters (the movie) playing on my 360 right now for background noise...it's sorta comforting since I grew up with it and all.
I may bring my wolfy gloves to comic con to show you guys, I'm really proud of how everything came out! I'll probably be wearing the costume again for Halloween..or soemthing similar. _________________ "Zombies do like the other, other white meat" - Dean Winchester |
