So, I am pretty much known by DorianHolmes on 99.9% of any forums, cosplay things, myspaces, etc.
The first part of that title is my name which comes from The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde the second is also from a literary character, Sherlock Holmes.
I have multiple Bachelor degrees in English and French from the University of California, I also studied at Kings College at the University of Cambridge. Now I am working on my Juris Doctorate at California Western School of Law in San Diego.
I own a condo in San Diego where I live with my long term boyfriend Baltazar. We are both really into cosplay and do charity events at the San Diego Children’s Hospital and do non-charity events for promotional purposes which pay the bills.
I guess we are pretty well known for Colonel Roy Mustang and Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye (Full Metal Alchemist), but we have over twenty costumes each. I guess right now we are mostly running around as Ashley Graham and Leon S. Kennedy which got quite a bit of attention at the Hollywood screening of Degeneration and landed us an opportunity to have the honour of being photographed and used in an upcoming article by a video game site.
What else, I was born in England and lived in Wales prior to moving to America. I do have an accent, I am good at hiding it, and no I will not use it for your amusement. Catch me in my Sir Integra Windgates Fairbrook Hellsing costume and you can hear it then. I speak multiple languages some more fluently than others, French and English are my best, Welsh is understandable, and Spanish has become an essential in my life now that I am dating a man with non-English speaking grandparents.
I like to sew but I have not really had much time for that with law school finals. But, with some help from friends I should be bringing a couple new costumes to Anime Los Angeles in the form of a couple Dead or Alive costumes (Helena and Christie) and Annette Birkin.
Which I suppose is the reason I ended up on this forum, Annette Birkin. |
